Seven Friends of the SMVRR spent some time roaming about south and east of Santa Maria looking for evidence of the Pacific Coast Railway and the Santa Maria Valley Railroad right-of-ways in this area now void of tracks. All Aboard!
The rails of a railroad track are kept shiny on the top by the regular passage of trains. Thus, "To Shiny Rails" is the battle cry of my personal effort to keep railroading activities of all kinds available to as many people as possible.
